Shannex Care at Home is currently looking for flexible, casual CCA\'s to join our Great Team of Great People!

Care at Home was officially introduced in 2010 to provide extra care and peace of mind to the residents living in our Shannex facilities and their families. As a part of the Shannex Corporation, the Care at Home Division is located at 156 Parkland Drive, Halifax, NS. We offer 24 hour/7 days a week personal care to the residents within the HRM area.

About the Opportunity

Casual position where you are scheduled based on YOUR availability
Work in all the LTC facilities within the HRM
Make a measurable difference in the quality of life for clients
Assist clients with hygiene and daily living activities
Assist with client\xe2\x80\x99s restorative care programs, walking, range of motion, etc.
Assist in the planning and implementation of client leisure activities on a daily basis
Performs delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice
Communicates and reports relevant information regarding client\xe2\x80\x99s care and safety to the Responsibility Nurse
Work for an established and respected organization who puts clients needs first
Other duties and responsibilities as required based on clients needs

About You

Valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent.
A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening.
Proof of registration with the Continuing Care Assistant Registry
Current CPR / First Aid Certification
You can work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
Previous experience working with elderly people in long-term care, or a senior living environment would be considered an asset.
You demonstrate professionalism, are proactive, and reliable.
You demonstrate a commitment to a safe and healthy workplace and can recognize and identify risks.
You have patience, a positive attitude, and can work independently.
