Responsibilities for CBSA Security Guard

Ensure the safety and security of individuals, property, and assets within the facility Escort and supervise detainees, using restraints when necessary for safety Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and respect when dealing with individuals under stress Observe, assess, and report detainee behavior or incidents promptly Conduct frequent indoor and outdoor patrols and wellness checks Respond quickly to emergencies using tactical de-escalation techniques Maintain detailed incident and daily activity reports Operate security software and equipment effectively

Qualifications for CBSA Security Guard

------------------------------------------

Valid Ontario Security Guard License

Valid First Aid & CPR Certification

Advanced Security Training (AST)

- an asset

Canadian Residency:

Must have lived in Canada for the past 5 years (

Permanent Resident or Citizen

)

High school diploma or equivalent (proof required)

Ability to obtain

Public Works Clearance

and

Vulnerable Sector Check

Minimum

1 year of experience

in a tactical or high-risk security environment Strong decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills
