We're looking for an energetic philanthropy champion who will work on the Cause Operations Team. The successful candidate will help to establish vetting guidelines and processes, thereby expanding our top-tier global database of charities.

The Cause Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining country specific vetting guidelines as well as maintaining charity databases. This position will work closely with our larger Operations and Client Success teams.

What you will do:

• Gather information and documents as well as analyzing and scrubbing data
• Collaborating with teams to develop new processes and procedures
• Flag and escalate issues relating to the vetting process
• Be part of Benevity's risk strategy around fraud prevention and watchlist screening
• Suggest improvements for the vetting process as well as the charities website
• Develop an in-depth understanding of local and international charity laws/regulations
• Document and communicate to teams regarding changes/updates within the vetting process
• Control charitable database integrity
• Ability to represent the Cause Operations Team and its processes

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Previous experience in the non-profit sector or International vetting an asset
• Previous experience in risk and compliance or fraud an asset
• Detail-oriented, organized and analytical
• Ability to effectively understand and communicate complex information in an easily digestible manner, both written and verbally
• Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with strong judgement
• Resilient, and thrives in a multi-tasking, start-up environment and can adjust priorities on-the-fly while managing a diverse and full workload
• Success-driven with an entrepreneurial, and self-starter approach
• Moderate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
