is looking for a Catering Server

to join our team at Canada Life Centre & Burton Cummings Theatre.

The

Catering Server

will be working with a team to ensure the execution of Food & Beverage Requirements and Events at the Canada Life Centre & Burton Cummings theatre.

What to be excited for in this role:

Seek to provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and guests. Responsible for the timeliness and set-up of buffets & equipment related to the sale of food and beverage. Verify inventory before and after each shift, and support set up and breakdown of work area. Uphold open communication with all working teams. Ensure supervisor is informed of issues that arise, and support resolutions. Support proper inventory control, cash handling, cleanliness, equipment operation, and safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and well stocked working environment.

What we need from you:

Familiarity with POS systems and digital registers. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven ability to communicate with all patrons, customers and coworkers. Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills. Ability to effectively and efficiently solve customer concerns with the utmost professionalism. Ability to keep calm under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. The highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics. Willingness and flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in a team environment. Current Smart Choices Certification or willingness to obtain.
