The Catering Coordinator will work closely with various departments to deliver high-quality food and service while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate catering events from start to finish, including menu selection, logistics, and staffing.
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice on food options and presentation.
Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.
Manage inventory of food supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary items are available for events.
Train and supervise catering staff in food handling, preparation, and customer service best practices.
Maintain communication with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals during events.
Handle guest inquiries and provide exceptional guest services throughout the event.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices is essential.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Experience in bartending or managing beverage services is a plus.
A background in the food industry or hotel catering is advantageous.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
