What you will work on As a Catering Driver / Event Crew at Harbour Cruises, you are responsible for delivery of food, beverage, and equipment to all our events (Offsite, Onsite - Boats & Marina Area). This role is a requires exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all of the required items are transported, handled with care and delivered on time (To and from our Event Spaces). This position is best fitted for an individual who has meticulous attention to detail, organized and has excellent time management skills. This role requires and individual who has exceptional communication skills and are able to confidently perform tasks assigned independently as well as in a team environment. This is a hybrid role who is also responsible for our events\' Setup & Teardown - Ideally, you will also have experience working in Banquet/ Events/ Catering. As a Catering Driver / Event Crew at Harbour Cruises, you\xe2\x80\x99ll get to:
  • Reviewing and verifying catering contracts to actual prepared items and item quality
  • Preparing, loading, unloading, and storing Food & Beverage items, equipment, and supplies in the catering van
  • Liaising with customers to ensure professional and courteous service
  • Providing excellent guest service according to Harbour Cruises standards and procedures
  • May occasionally assist in setting up and breaking down of rooms according to client specifications which include moving tables, chairs, setting A/V equipment, buffets etc.
  • Ensuring safe liquor service according to legal requirements, standards and procedures
  • Delivering breakfast/lunches/dinners to Harbour Cruises, businesses, events & private residences
  • Keeping records of the Maintenance of the Vans, taking vans for fuel fill up, vehicle cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Pick up Liquor Orders from Liquor Store and deliver to Harbour Cruises
  • Buy & pick up items from different vendors
  • Ensuring Food Safety protocol is adhered to at all times
  • Reporting feedback to F&B management team following the event
  • Ensuring cleanliness of relevant areas
  • Be able to work in a cohesive team environment or independently
  • Reporting work orders to F&B managers
  • Working with the Harbour Cruises mission statement and values to operate a successful department
  • Work with the kitchen staff to coordinate scheduled deliveries
  • Packing vehicle according to your pack lists and order sheets
  • Managing your delivery schedule
  • Serve food and beverages aboard our vessels and off-site catered events
  • Perform opening and/or closing duties
  • Setting up banquet rooms according to Harbour Cruises Service standards, including tables, linen, chairs, place settings, buffets and any other guest requirements as noted on BEOs
  • Any additional duties as assigned as required to assist other departments
What you will bring to the team

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50lbs, repetitive physical movement required
  • Previous food and beverage serving experience in banquets or equivalent is preferred
  • MUST be able to provide a Valid BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License with Clean Driver\'s Abstract
  • MUST be comfortable driving Company Cargo Vans
  • Driving in a safe and responsible manner, respecting all rules of the road and traffic laws
  • Ability to work flexible hours (daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays) and on call
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, time management
  • Work well under pressure and independently
  • Exceptional communication skills across multiple channels and departments
  • Immaculate in cleanliness and maintenance of both equipment and vehicles resourced
