Catering Assistant (Lead Hand and Coordinator) and Operations Supervisor
Position Overview:
The Catering Assistant (Food), under the direction of the Catering Assistant (Lead Hand and Coordinator) and Operations Supervisor, plays an intermediate role between workers and supervisors for the handling of all production functions as listed below.
:
Maintain productivity and performance standards, organizes and coordinate work flow within designate area of responsibility as per VPS (Variable Production Schedule) fully documenting any issues and promptly communicating barriers to the Supervisor for resolution.
Basic food preparation skill
Follow meal order specification and Gold Standards
Complete documentation for food temperature control
Ensure proper date coding
Keep racks of foods refrigerated
Efficient flow & movement of materials into the production process by assuring on-time delivery of materials and foods to support the Retail department
Follow all hygiene and food safety requirements, modelling acceptable behavior and enforcing the standard in staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Basic food preparation skill
Knowledge of food handling procedures and HACCP processes is an asset
Food Handler Certificate is an asset
Experience with high volume food preparation and work in a fast paced environment
Attention to detail
Require to stand/walk for long periods of time
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.60 per hour
