Position: Category Manager
Location: Saint-Laurent

Are you looking for a position in Saint-Laurent?Our client, a company specialized in electric consumer goods, is looking for a Category Manager to join their dynamic team!What they offer:- Competitive salary up to $95K based on experience

Your profile:

- Fluently bilingual to communicate with clients internationally
- Proficient with Excel and PowerBI
- Deep knowledge of electrical distribution market
- 3+ years of experience in a similar category role
- University/College degree in business or commerce
- Experience leading negotiations for products and services
- Ability to create project plans and execute with discipline
- Ability to travel as needed with overnight stay

Your role:

- Create and execute the strategy for your respective categories, in association with the national strategy this includes managing local/regional suppliers, actively monitoring KPIs
- Deliver on category objectives with strategic supplier partners, ensuring they understand business priorities and needs
- Maintain continuous in-depth knowledge of your respective product categories and identify new product opportunities suitable for the markets we serve
- Analyze sales and margins reports to recognize trends and year over year variances within the category
- Identify areas of opportunity for improvement and implement corrective plans where appropriate
- Execute cost saving initiatives (negotiated savings)
- Assess and manage the category risks and opportunities for the division related to these negotiated initiatives
- Conduct regular branch visits to better understand the challenges at branch level and deploy an action plan to enable the branches to better manage their business
- Implement and maintain effective communication between sales, marketing, procurement, operations groups
