The Category Manager, is a key member of the North America (NA) Go to Market Team at McCain. This role will be the trusted category partner for customers (internal & external), building specific recommendations, rooted in clear market understanding that drive a positive category outcome, making McCain the supplier of choice to partner with and in turn achieving disproportionate growth for McCain. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking & exceptional execution. The successful candidate is a true story-teller, able to convert data insight into clear business recommendations through innovative ideation, complemented commercial business understanding and not shy to be a hands-on, problem solver with detailed involvement in the day-to-day business.
The ideal candidate will have a strong record of accomplishment, delivering robust category, sales and customer plans and commitment that have fuelled incremental growth for top-tier organizations. They will be able to action strategic plans through a strong commercial acumen, data literacy partnered with creative solutions and ability to create, and deliver execution that furthers McCain's competitive advantage within the Category and with customers. This individual has a tendency to thrive in environments with broad flexibility and scope. They will be able to challenge the status and translate an identified opportunity into actionable plans with the ability to prioritize, create clarity. A robust collaborator, with an entrepreneurial spirit, this leader with be able to drive results, even in a world of limited resources.
This person will have experience in leading and delivering multiple projects concurrently, with a strong ability to communicate and influence both internal and external stakeholders. They will be a high caliber professional who can inspire, motivate, and engage. This individual will have an innate ability to bring people together, to seeing opportunities in challenges and implementing creative and aligned solutions for sustained results. This will be a focused and committed action lead who also rolls up their sleeves and has a track record of delivering results. This individual will have the ability to get work done as part of a matrix team through inspiring and influencing partners to deliver a shared objective. This person will be humble and hungry.
