ABOUT LIQUOR & CANNABIS
The Liquor & Cannabis Division supports progressive developments in both industries while building strong relationships with stakeholders and collecting revenue for the General Revenue Fund. It is responsible for managing both product supply chains in Alberta via both external warehousing solutions and a third party logistics partner. The liquor industry is also supported through Liquor Program Services and Liquor Planning & Reporting Services. The cannabis industry is supported by the Operations branch as well as the Product & Stakeholder Management area.

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a Category Management Specialist to develop and execute the B2B assortment strategy for the Cannabis business line through the purchasing of product.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product & Stakeholder Management, you will ensure the assortment strategy and implementation are in alignment with the overall business goals and objectives, and will support in overseeing the performance of products against key metrics. To do so you will work with the Senior Manager, Product & Stakeholder Management to develop the category management strategy for the Cannabis business line. Defines and executes against category management strategy, guiding from analysis through to recommendation of product selection and lifecycle. As well, the position works collaboratively with Licensed Producers to build assortment strategies according to business needs, adjusting as required.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of key metrics, sales and margins, monthly P&L, forecast reviews, analytical skills, financial aptitude and business acumen. The successful candidate must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as well as thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with varying levels of stakeholders is essential.
