About the role




We’re looking for an individual who is detail-oriented and enjoys providing excellent customer service to join our team. As a Casualty Claims Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and coordination with the Claims team. What you’ll do here:

  • Prepare and update forms and correspondence, attach to systems and distribute to Insurance Clients, Vendors and Legal Representatives
  • Administer file database, ensuring the most current and updated files are available
  • Open new claims and assign appropriate claims representatives
  • Provide administrative support, such as; responding to email requests, completing audits, compiling data, transferring files, drafting letters and other various projects
  • Assist customers and vendors with inquiries via telephone queue





Qualifications




What you bring to the table:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma preferred
  • 1 – 3 years of claims experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications
  • Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to productivity, accuracy and volume in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service
  • Committed to ongoing self-development
  • Completed or willing to work toward a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
  • Eager to take responsibility for your and our success
