Preferred Protection & Response Services Ltd.is currently hiring licensed Manitoba security guards to fill a Casual/On-Call Event Guard position.

Mandatory Requirements:

A valid Manitoba Security License

is required.

Valid "Serving it Safe/Smart Choices" Certification

is required.

Own vehicle or transportation

is required.

Must be fluent in English both verbally and in writing.

Minimum 1 year

working in an event/lounge setting. Experience dealing with intoxicated people.

MUST

be available to work evening and night shifts.

Guard Responsibilities:

Observe and Report any/all suspicious activities and incidents at respective sites. Communicate with employees, when required. Remove unwanted persons from the property, when required. Respond to emergency situations as required. Occasional lifting may be required, (min. 50 lbs). Providing our clients with exceptional customer service while remaining focused on the assets of the property at all times. Check patrons identification (bag checks may be required) Standing and walking, which would be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain. Ability to approach difficult situations and de-escalate to resolve the issue. Tolerance to unruly people, patience in confrontational situations. Confidence in approaching persons going against property rules. Ability to work well with others.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
