We are looking for experienced Security Guards to join our team in Barrie!
We are looking for experienced Security Guards to join our team to work a special project over a two month period then transition to other positions or a casual/on-call role. This position is perfect for those looking for occasional extra shifts in varying work environments. Members of our casual/on call team are able to manage their own schedule by selecting open shifts at their own discretion off of our GardaWorld specific scheduling app in a variety of different locations in the region. The special project will be monitoring construction sites and will include both overnight and late afternoon shifts available. They also have first opportunity to bid on new open permanent positions should they come available.
Successful applicants will already have experience working in the security industry in different roles and be able to step in to a variety of positions as needed. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, have experience working in customer service and be comfortable working in all weather conditions. As this role is for the Barrie region, all applicants must have access to their own vehicle and live within a 60 minute commute under normal conditions.
Pay Rate: $18.00/Hour - $22.00/Hour Depending on location

What does a Security Guard in Barrie do?
Ensure the protection of people, assets, and property
Monitor access of entryways and exit points
Conduct preventive surveillance rounds
Point of contact with authorities and emergency services
Foot and Vehicle patrols as required
Detailed report composition
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Barrie
A valid Ontario Security Guard license
Valid Standard First Aid/CPR/AED Level C certification from a WSIB approved provider
Ontario G2 Licence and own vehicle
Demonstration of excellent verbal and written communication in English
Access to own vehicle
Able to work in both Peterborough and Lindsay
Available to work flexible hours
Have a clear criminal background
Be eligible to work in Canada
