Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Casual Sales Associates to join our team during the busy season. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing exceptional customer service. As a Casual Sales Associate, you will be responsible for but not limited to, assisting customers, managing transactions, and supporting various operational tasks to ensure a smooth shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries while proving product information and recommendations, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Assist loading products into outbound vehicles as needed.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the overall business and checkout areas.
• Utilize technology effectively to process sales transactions and manage inventory systems.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking and organizing merchandise, inventory count and prompting management when stock is low.
• Collaborate with team members to meet store goals and objectives during peak seasons while being a team player.

Skills

• Customer-oriented, with a positive attitude and a reliable, self motivated and a collaborative team player.
• Strong professional phone etiquette and prompt customer responsiveness.
• Experience with landscape, hardscape, nursery and forestry is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment and make sound decisions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage inventory efficiently.
• Experience in cashiering and cash handling procedures is preferred but not required.

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
