Frontenac Youth Services is a non-profit Children's Mental Health Centre which has been providing assistance to adolescents struggling emotionally and behaviourally (12-18 years) and their families within the Durham Region since 1972. Frontenac Youth Services is accredited by the Canadian Centre for Accreditation.
We are currently looking for Casual Relief Child and Youth Workers to work in our Live-in Treatment Programs and Day Treat Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Child and Youth Worker or similar diploma (at least in last year of the program).
Previous experience working in children's mental health and working knowledge of trauma informed practices.
Criminal Reference Check with Broad Sector Screening.
Valid Class G driver's license with acceptable driving record, 3 years of experience, and access to a reliable vehicle an asset.
Physically capable of successfully completing training and performing crisis intervention techniques, including Understanding and Managing Aggressive Behaviour (UMAB), as required by the role.
Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certification
