OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Casual Maintenance/Caretaking Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

POSITION: Casual Caretaker/Maintenance

LOCATION: office, six apartment buildings plus maintenance/caretaking calls to our group home

RESPONSIBILITIES: regular cleaning tasks for both the interior and exterior of the buildings, small repair tasks, building security, assist tenants as need arises, maintain orderly and safe maintenance storage areas, organize for and effectively communicate with private contractors, report and deal with any safety issue, respond to building emergency calls such as heating problems, and water leaks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: experience in the janitorial/maintenance field, trades certificate in plumbing and heating area preferred, Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate an asset and preferred or willingness to obtain certificate, good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deal with crisis situations, ability to work independently and as a team member.

SALARY: as per collective agreement

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $19.93-$20.89 per hour
