Job Description


Overview:
This is a Casual Labourer position located in Inuvik, NT
Under the general supervision of the Manager, Maintenance Services Beaufort Delta, supports operations and maintenance staff work activities with physical labour. May be asked to support trades staff as needed with various tasks. Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including garbage pickup, litter control, brush cutting, painting, and custodial duties.
  • Assist with general repairs, carpentry work, and labor-intensive activities as required.
  • Maintain yards, organize shop areas, and ensure cleanliness in plants.
  • Support trades staff as needed with various tasks.
  • Wash and maintain vehicles.
  • Complete other labor-related assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of grade 10 with at least one year of mechanical, plumbing/heating or electrical experience; equivalencies may be considered.
  • Must have a full Class 5 driver's license.
  • Steel-toed boots are required.
  • Team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a strong commitment to personal safety and safe working practices.
  • Must be able to perform general maintenance tasks, including garbage pickup, litter control, brush cutting, painting, and custodial duties, as well as assist with general repairs, carpentry work and labour-intensive acitivities as required.
This casual position pays $30.82 per hour plus 10% vacation pay. This position is located in Inuvik, NT. No housing or relocation assistance provided.
