The Town of Ponoka is currently recruiting for a Casual Labourer to work in the Arena complex as part of the Parks, Recreation and Facilities department.
Position Summary
The Casual Labourer - Arena Complex provides general support in the daily operations, maintenance, and cleanliness of the facility. The Casual Labourer takes daily direction from the Arena & Sportsfield Foreman to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for the public, staff, and user groups.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Provide a safe environment for users of the Arena Complex.
Ensuring the schedule for the facility is followed.
Cleaning and maintaining all user areas including dressing rooms and washrooms.
Performing manual labour such as shoveling snow and sweeping.
Routine maintenance of the facility such as painting and general clean up.
Performing other duties as required.
Minimum Requirement
Preference will be given to those with general knowledge of arenas, previous janitorial experience and customer service experience.

Satisfactory Driver's Abstract
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
