Tyendinaga Township Public Library (the "Library") is seeking a qualified individual to provide casual IT support services on an as-needed basis. The successful IT professional will assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and other technology-related needs.
Scope of Work
The successful candidate will provide IT support services that may include, but are not limited to:
General computer, printer, and network troubleshooting
Software installation, configuration, and updates
Routine maintenance of computer systems and peripherals
Website support and updates
Wi-Fi and internet connectivity support
Data backup and recovery assistance
Hardware setup, replacement, or upgrade
Cybersecurity and antivirus management
Technology consultation or recommendations as requested
Work will be scheduled on an as-needed basis. No minimum number of hours is guaranteed.
Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate:
Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in Information Technology
Experience supporting small organizations or public institutions preferred
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and networking principles
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Term
The contract will be for a one-year term, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and mutual agreement.
