We are currently seeking a full-time casual employee to join our Public Safety Department as a Municipal Enforcement Clerk. Reporting to the Manager, Municipal Enforcement Division, the incumbent is responsible for administrative and operational support of the division. This includes reception, data entry, and preparation of materials for court, maintaining statistical data, customer support at the service counter, issuing of licenses and permits and taking payments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responds to telephone, walk-in and written enquiries including providing information and clarification on By-law requirements and enforcement practices
• Processes payments related to tickets and permits
• Supports administrative functions including physical and digital file maintenance; data entry and records management
Qualifications:
This position requires a certificate in an Administrative field or equivalent, along with a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.
Preferred Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to learn new software, or systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Previous cash handling experience
• Familiarity with the City's Municipal Enforcement Division
The rate of pay for this position is $34.91 per hour. Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, 08:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
