As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in the planning and execution of daily menus, including special dietary needs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.

Skills

Proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent meal preparation skills with a focus on quality and presentation. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures within the kitchen. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure. Knowledge of texture modified diets, and specific diets in general.

Pay: $23.00-$24.56 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
