We are looking for a dynamic individual to be a part of our team for the position of

First

Second Cook

to join our

Bedford Campus!

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent Red Seal Journeyman's Certificate Required for the First Cook position Diploma of Culinary Arts or Equivalent for the Second Cook position Basic Food Safety Certificate Required Three to five years of relevant work experience Food service experience required Recipe development experience required Baking experience required Experience cooking in a long-term care or healthcare facility is considered an asset Experience in bulk cooking preferably in decentralized food operation considered an asset Management position in a food service industry considered an asset Advanced Food Safety Certification considered an asset Must be able to lift 50 lbs at a time, in good general health and able to endure the day-to-day pressure of the position. Knowledge of the following: Emergency Protocols, Risk Management Procedures, Crisis Intervention Methods (Cook/Chill/Freeze/reheating/serving - production system Possess the following skills: Effective Communication, Organization, Problem Solving, Active Listening, Time Management, Judgement and Decision Making, Operation Monitoring Must maintain regular and consistent attendance in accordance with Northwood Standard.

Hours of Work:

No guaranteed hours bi-weekly

(Casual)

- Days/Evenings - 10 and 12 hour shifts
