Job Description
Miner's Memorial Manor is a 51-bed Long Term Care and Residential Care facility located in Sydney Mines, N.S. We are currently seeking Casual Continuing Care Assistants. The CCA is responsible to deliver holistic care to our residents in accordance with the policies, procedures and standards of Miner's Memorial Manor
Requirements/Responsibilities:
Adheres to organizational policy and procedures. Adheres to Infection Prevention and Control policy and procedure Excellent attendance record. Ability to work shift work. Maintains confidentiality Document all pertinent information. Personal care; bathing dressing, incontinent management. Ability to work independently and as a team. Excellent time management and prioritizing skills Manage daily delivery of hydration therapy to residents Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety. Follow direction from Supervising RN/LPN Promptly report all changes in resident condition to RN/LPN Report unsafe conditions or equipment to the RN/LPN. Promptly answer resident call bells/requests to assess resident needs. Assist residents in dining areas; feed and assist as required including transport to and from the dining area or delivering/setting up trays. Effective communication with residents, families, co-workers, management and the general public Complete resident flow sheet accurately and promptly. Ensure residents rounds/checks are completed hourly or more often if required Participates in ongoing education and training opportunities.
Qualifications
Must have or be working toward Continuing Care Assistant certification. Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check Good health
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
