and their families to help them thrive. YW is committed to supporting people experiencing domestic violence,
advocating for mental health, and enabling women\xe2\x80\x99s economic prosperity. Together with our donors, government
and other social agencies, we provide programs that build a safer and more equitable community. Thank you for your
support!
Job Purpose: To provide support to a major AGLC fundraising event for YW Calgary. This two-day event will
generate between $60,000-$80,000 for YW Calgary and is an important source of funding for our programs and
services. By volunteering just a few hours of your time, you can contribute a significant amount of support to YW
Calgary and the women and families we serve. Volunteering your time for our upcoming AGLC Casino is like making
a $1,500 donation to YW \xe2\x80\x93 thank you for considering volunteering!
Time Commitment: Casino runs for two days: Thursday, April 13th and Friday, April 14th, 2023 Daytime and Evening Shifts Available:
- Days (11:00 am to 7:30 pm)
- Evenings (6:45 pm to 3:45 am)
- Night Count room (11:00PM-3:45PM)
We require volunteers for the following positions:
- General Manager, Banker, Cashier, Chip Runner, Count Room, Back-up Volunteers
- Volunteer positions work well for friends, families and employee groups!
Qualifications: 18 years and older, reliable, competent in handling money and a clear police information check.
Working Conditions:
- Long shifts during the daytime and evening.
- Free parking and food will be provided by Pure Casino during each shift.
