JOB PURPOSE: The Cashier/sorter is to receive and sort donations, as well as ring in customer purchases. This position includes continuous standing, bending and lifting.. This is a busy position, the incumbent will be required to work efficiently and manage their time well.

Receive gifts and clothing from various agencies and public.
Cashier
Sort clothing, furniture, Misc items and other various responsibilities.
Continuous standing, bending, and lifting.
Lifting up to 20 pounds (with assistance)
Other job related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
The applicant must be able to contribute as a team player, projecting a positive, professional, and helpful attitude.
They must have ability to work independently and have the capability to systematically organize.
The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality.
Must have a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and a clear driving record are required.
The ability to model the values and standards of The Salvation Army.
Written and oral English proficiency is needed in this role to interact with customers and community partners both in person and on the telephone.
Cash experience is an asset
Required to work every second Saturday
NOTE: An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable.
