We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English, with bilingual or multilingual capabilities being a plus. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in food preparation and maintaining kitchen operations.

Duties

Assist in food preparation by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes as directed by the chef. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met consistently throughout the kitchen. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and keeping track of ingredient usage. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods. Handle cash transactions accurately when assisting with cashiering duties as required. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory management. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English; bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience with cash handling or technical sales is a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.75-$18.00 per hour
