Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cash and operate a Point of Sale (POS) system. A passion for technology sales and merchandising is a plus, as you will also assist in product demonstrations and upselling.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience. Process transactions efficiently using the POS system, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations. Assist customers with product inquiries, offering knowledgeable advice on technology sales and product features. Conduct product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and encourage sales. Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring cleanliness and proper merchandising of products. Handle customer returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies. Upsell additional products or services based on customer needs and preferences. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure a smooth checkout experience for all customers.

Requirements

Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred, with a strong emphasis on customer service skills. Proficiency in basic math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette when interacting with customers. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with technology sales or technical sales is an advantage, along with experience in merchandising practices. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Pay: $17.80-$19.20 per hour

Expected hours: 34 - 44 per week
