Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support. You will handle transactions, assist with inquiries, and ensure a positive shopping experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently will be key to your success in this position. French and English required.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in payments.
• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism.
• Provide information about products, promotions, and services to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves as needed.
• Resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Skills

• Proficient in using POS systems for transaction processing.
• Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
• Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with customers.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members.
• Strong customer service orientation to meet customer needs and enhance their experience.
• Experience in technical sales is a plus, helping customers understand product features.
• Proficiency in English; multilingual skills are highly desirable for diverse customer interactions.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage tasks effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week

Shift:

• 8 hour shift

Work days:

• Every Weekend
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• sales: 1 year (preferred)
• Customer service: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Have to be in Canada for a at least 2 years (preferred)
