We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while managing transactions efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be comfortable handling cash and POS systems, and have a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demos are considered valuable assets. Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and assist with their inquiries to ensure a positive shopping experience
Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
Manage cashier duties including scanning items, applying discounts, and processing payments efficiently
Upsell products and promote store promotions to increase sales opportunities
Conduct product demonstrations when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits
Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and restocking shelves as needed
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary
Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies
Utilize communication skills to effectively interact with diverse customers in a fast-paced environment
Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
Qualifications
Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transactions
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail in merchandising tasks
Ability to perform product demos and engage customers through technical sales techniques
Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions
Capable of multitasking efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
Knowledge of retail merchandising standards and upselling strategies is advantageous
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
