Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their purchases, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoy interacting with people.

This position will also include inventory management such as stocking shelves, rotating inventory and removing outdates.

It is also important that the candidate be physically fit. This position requires extended periods of standing, lifting items up to 40lbs and at times repetitive movements in moving inventory or stocking shelves.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed throughout their shopping experience. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the cash register. Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area to create a welcoming environment for customers. Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and provide support as needed. Stocking shelves, rotating inventory and removing out dated items. Cleaning shelves and workspace as required. Assisting in moving inventory throughout the store as needed.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Experience in retail sales or cashiering preferred. Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail when processing transactions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure. A positive attitude and willingness to learn about products and services offered in-store.

Pay: $16.00-$17.50 per hour
