Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cashier/Barista to join our team. In this roll you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while expertly preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to provide exceptional customer service and manage time effectively will contribute to the overall success of our cafe.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages with precision and care. Operate the Square POS system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety standards. Assist with food preparation, including donuts and light snacks, while maintaining high-quality presentation. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling and basic math calculations for change. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist customers effectively. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing are necessary. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed. Pay: From $17.20 per hour
