Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or merchandising are considered valuable assets. The Cashier will play a key role in maintaining store operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases Operate POS systems accurately for cash, credit, and digital payments Handle cash handling procedures with precision and accountability Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly displayed Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy Assist with merchandising tasks to keep the store attractive and well-stocked Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies during transactions Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment

Requirements

Proven experience in cashiering, retail sales, or customer service preferred Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Ability to operate POS systems and other retail technology confidently Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Knowledge of merchandising principles is advantageous Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance sales performance Effective time management skills to ensure smooth checkout processes Professional appearance and positive attitude to represent the brand effectively
