Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle cash with precision. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed. Accurately process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area. Communicate effectively with customers regarding products and promotions. Manage time efficiently to minimize wait times during busy periods. Assist with inventory management and restocking as required. Uphold company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries.

Qualifications

Proven experience in retail sales or as a cashier is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Ability to sell products by understanding customer needs and preferences.
