Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen ability to handle transactions accurately. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for customers, responsible for providing an exceptional shopping experience through effective communication and assistance. Your role will involve not only processing sales but also promoting products and services to enhance customer satisfaction.

Duties

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions efficiently and accurately. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering inquiries, and addressing any concerns promptly. Assist in merchandising efforts by maintaining product displays and ensuring the sales floor is organized and appealing. Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical sales support when necessary. Upsell products and services to enhance the shopping experience and meet sales goals. Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area to create a welcoming environment for customers. Utilize strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and management. Manage time efficiently to ensure quick service during peak hours while maintaining quality interactions with customers.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude. Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. Familiarity with technology sales or technical products is a plus, along with experience in product demos. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, to engage with customers professionally. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed. Pay: $16.00-$24.62 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
