We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have a passion for retail sales. As a Lead Cashier, you will oversee the cash handling process, ensure efficient operation of the register, and provide exceptional service to our customers. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage time efficiently will be essential in creating a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily cash register operations, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and transactions. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Conduct product demos and upsell merchandise to enhance customer engagement and sales. Train and mentor new cashiers on POS systems, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices. Maintain an organized checkout area, ensuring it is clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with management to implement sales strategies and promotional activities. Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Demonstrate effective communication skills through phone etiquette and face-to-face interactions with customers.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Familiarity with technology sales, technical sales, or merchandising is advantageous. Proficient in using POS systems for transaction processing. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks during busy periods.
