We are seeking a dynamic and friendly Cashier to join our team, we are looking for someone who is available to work weekends and afternoons. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently processing transactions. Your energy and positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring customers leave satisfied and eager to return. As a Cashier, you will handle cash handling duties, operate POS (Point of Sale) systems, and assist with various store operations to support a seamless shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies as needed Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and ensuring products are well-presented Communicate effectively with team members and customers using proper phone etiquette Assist with inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and merchandising tasks Promote store promotions and loyalty programs to maximize sales opportunities

Qualifications

Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or retail stores Strong communication skills with the ability to engage bilingual customers effectively Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers accurately Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures required Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, and inventory control is advantageous

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
