Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, ensuring a smooth operation and high-quality food preparation. This role is essential for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients for meals. Support cooking staff by preparing ingredients and ensuring all necessary items are ready for service. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment promptly after use. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Help with meal assembly and plating according to restaurant standards. Participate in inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of low stock levels. Assist with serving food during busy meal periods as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality meals.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. A passion for cooking and the food industry is a plus. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
