We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and a passion for retail sales. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and assisting with product selection. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed and stocked. Assist with merchandising tasks, including restocking shelves and organizing product displays. Conduct product demos as needed to showcase new items or promotions to customers. Exhibit strong communication skills while interacting with customers and team members, demonstrating professionalism at all times. Utilize time management skills to handle peak hours effectively while maintaining quality service.

Experience

Previous experience of 6 months as Cashier required. Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers. Strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone when necessary. Secondary (High) School graduation required
