Job Description
Please note this is not an immediate start position. This job will run from December 27th - mid March, ski season permitting.
As part of the team at The Nomad Home Chef, the Cashier is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service while accurately processing food and beverage transactions within The North Lodge at Craigleith Ski Club. This role ensures the lodge remains organized and stocked for a positive experience for members.
Responsibilities
Greet customers in a warm and professional manner
Operate the point of sales (POS) system to process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
Ensure food and beverage items are properly displayed and replenished
Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and service counter
Report equipment issues or supply shortages to leader
Empty garbage cans throughout day
Put away product and restock fridges at the end of each day to prepare for next service
Complete opening and closing duties checklist for each shift
Skills
SmartServe Certification required
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Flexibility with working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on feet for extended periods of time
Basic computer skills
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
