Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering product demonstrations as needed. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including merchandising and stocking products effectively. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for accurate change. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, fostering a collaborative team environment. Exhibit strong phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or directing calls appropriately. Support inventory management by assisting with stocking shelves and monitoring product availability. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred, particularly in a grocery store environment. Familiarity with POS systems and retail math principles is essential for accurate transaction processing. Strong communication skills are required to interact effectively with customers and team members. Maintain a current Serving it Right Certificate. Demonstrated ability to upsell products and manage merchandising tasks effectively. Basic math skills are necessary for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
