Reporting to the Manager, Claims Administration & Training, the

Case Worker

will be a key member of a dedicated team committed to providing service excellence in the administration of our D&R plan.

Here's the exciting journey:

Develop a knowledge foundation by learning about our D&R Plan, departmental procedures, and in-house D&R claims management system. Interact with the D&R team and support the D&R Administration, Claims Specialist, and Rehabilitation functions. Become familiar with HEB Manitoba's internal software systems.
Your responsibilities will increase to include:

Assist in D&R claim set-up, including effective communication with members and stakeholders. Assume responsibility for the electronic filing of documents as they pertain to your caseload. Continue to improve your abilities and enhance your effectiveness by developing a comprehensive understanding of our department's activities along with the Plan Text provisions. Expand your knowledge and skills as you gain experience administering the D&R Plan, the claim application process, benefit calculations, and premium refunds.

Qualifications for Your Success:



Experience & Education

Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a Health-related field. Completion of the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) - Group Benefits Associate (GBA) certification would be considered an asset. Three plus years of group insurance administration experience including processing enrolments, managing disability application forms, benefits calculations and premium refunds.
An equivalent of education and experience may be considered
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills

Strong mathematical acumen and problem-solving skills. A professional demeanor with a strong focus on service excellence. Proven strength in both oral and written communication. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Experience in balancing tasks with competing priorities and varying deadlines. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. Commitment to continuous learning and ongoing professional development.
