The Opportunity:

With a rich history of success, XTL is poised for even greater achievements in the years to come. As we continue to expand our operations, we seek a Carrier Logistics Planner who is self-motivated and shares our passion for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for complete order management from the initial booking, throughout transit, and until the freight has been successfully delivered.
  • Interact and communicate with internal and external carriers on front-line issues to ensure effective customer service is provided in a timely manner.
  • Service existing client accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, develop solutions, prepare reports and make recommendations to management.
  • Grow & develop our carrier base with partners that meet or exceed our criteria & compliance standards.
  • Develop an in depth understanding of XTL\xe2\x80\x99s partner carrier networks in order to maximize their effectiveness.
  • Monitor, measure and provide feedback on carrier performance.
  • Negotiate transactional and rates with partner carriers while ensuring corporate margin targets are met.
  • Ensure carrier capacity exceeds customer expectations.
  • Other duties as required.
What we are looking for:
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Team player with strong commitment to quality, accuracy and customer service.
  • Strong geographical knowledge of North America.
  • Knowledge of AS/400, Excel and Lotus Notes.
  • Ability to evaluate data and conceptualizing to reach sound conclusions.
  • Professionalism to deal with sensitive issues in a diplomatic manner.
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure in an environment that is consistently changing.
  • Organized, with a strong work ethic and the ability to handle multiple issues at once.
  • 1-2 years of Logistics experience in the transportation industry or relevant post secondary education.
