Duties



Measure and prepare spaces accurately for carpet and flooring installation using schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Remove old flooring materials carefully, including carpet, tile, or other coverings, ensuring proper disposal or restoration procedures. Install carpets, tiles, vinyl, laminate, and other flooring types with precision using hand tools and power tools such as cutters, drills, and buffing equipment. Perform floor leveling, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation to ensure seamless finishes. Read schematics and blueprints to follow project specifications accurately for complex installations. Conduct water damage restoration tasks when necessary to prepare surfaces for new flooring or repairs. Apply finishing techniques such as buffing and floor care to achieve a polished look. Assist with remodeling projects by installing cabinets, fixtures, or performing construction painting as needed. Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials required for each job. Collaborate with team members on construction site tasks including concrete finishing or maintenance person repairs to support overall project goals. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to construction site experience and the use of hand tools or power tools.

Requirements



Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematics. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, buffing equipment, and other relevant construction tools. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read technical drawings accurately. Experience in water damage restoration or floor care is highly desirable. Familiarity with the restoration industry industry standards is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods while maintaining safety practices. Strong carpentry skills including trim carpentry and fixture installation are beneficial. Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail to ensure precise installation quality. Pay: $18.03-$37.98 per hour
