Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter/Project Manager to join our team in various construction projects. The right candidate is passionate about the industry and have a love for construction. Written and spoken English is mandatory. Computer skills are required. Computer based estimation preferred but can be learned. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires excellent leadership skills, effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to read and interpret schematics.

Responsibilities

Superb communication and interpersonal skills Provide organized project information and bids Effective problem solving and decision-making abilities Good time management skills with multiple projects simultaneously Ensure that all work complies with building codes and safety regulations Manage project timelines and ensure that materials are available as needed Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently Industry safety knowledge and maintain accurate safety documentation Uphold the high standard of work that Wells Construction is know for

Experience

Proven experience in your trade as well as a with a strong understanding of construction processes Experience in working with all aspects of building and renovation Ability to read plans and estimate take-offs Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively Strong leadership skills in a construction environment an asset Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills Attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 80 per week
