Overview

We are seeking a maintenance carpenter/handyperson to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be able to work on a variety of projects, including residential and commercial repairs. This role requires versitility. The Carpenter will be responsible for various types of repairs for residential properties on site including rot remediation and repair, drywall repairs and finishing, small shed construction, door and window installations and various other tasks as required including snow removal using a plow, snow blower and hand shovelling.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard Repair water damaged drywall Perform small job concrete forming for small foundations Door and window installations Rot remediation and exterior siding replacement and repair Interior finishing, painting and mouldings Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Proficient in carpentry techniques including framing, drywall, and various residential maintenance repairs Experience with concrete forming and finishing. Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus for integrated projects. Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for manual labor tasks. Familiarity with various hand tools and power tools used in carpentry work. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
