Overview


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in framing and construction. With the ability to interpret blueprints accurately. This role is essential for the successful completion of residential and commercial framing projects, restoration work, siding installation, and other related tasks. Candidates should be comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and performing heavy lifting as needed. Candidates should be comfortable working in a shop or site (in or out of town). A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency is vital for this position.

Duties



Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to ensure accurate framing and installation. Construct and install wood framing, siding, and other structural components according to project specifications. Operate power tools such as saws, drills, safely and effectively. Use hand tools for measuring, cutting, assembling, and finishing woodwork or concrete forms. Ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary for lifting or moving materials on-site will be an asset. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes. Maintain a clean work environment and properly care for tools and equipment.

Requirements



Proven experience in framing, carpentry, or related construction fields. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking processes. Experience with heavy lifting and operating heavy equipment is preferred. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working at heights. Knowledge of Prefab is an asset.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
