Overview

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including installation, restoration, and construction. This role requires proficiency in reading schematics and working with power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting. Electrical knowledge is also needed for outlet and switch installations. 6 month probation period with opportunity to grow from there. Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Assemble and install structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and other materials. Perform vinyl flooring installation. Installs trim, cabinetry, backsplash, etc. Electrical work needed for outlet and switch installation. Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square for structural integrity. Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry tasks. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure smooth project execution. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of projects.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and restoration. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately. Experience with electrical. Proficient in using power tools and hand tools safely. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
