Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenters, Apprentices/Skilled Helpers to join our dynamic construction team as either an employee or subcontractor . This position is ideal for individuals who have, or are looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry trade while learning from skilled professionals. The main objective of this specific job site is rot repair; but our company does a wide range of projects from framing, concrete, interior and exterior finishing and beyond. There is lots of opportunity to learn and grow and experience different things from day to day beyond this site if it is in interest.

The specific job is located in Richmond. The work mainly pertains to rot removal and repair, some basic, some extensive at an engineers guidance. Site hours are 730-345. Applicants are expected to have a drivers license or a reliable form of transportation to work Monday-Friday. Hand tools/pouch and basic PPE are required. Apprentices will be able to be sponsored under a Red seal carpenter for training hours.

Responsibilities

Construction and assembly of structures, including framing, roofing, and siding and interior finishing. Be punctual and respectful to others Support in the fabrication of materials and components necessary for construction projects Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively while adhering to safety standards.

Skills

Basic knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools is preferred. Experience or willingness to learn skills such as framing, interior and exterior finishing, siding application and concrete forming Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Punctual and reliable

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $22.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week

Schedule:

8 hour shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
