Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled, licenced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and building trades, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves maintenance of 150 apartment units and the construction of wood frame apartment buildings in Woodstock, NB. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Involvement in the project at all stages from frame to finish. Complete repairs and maintenance of rental housing as required. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications. Utilize a wide variety of power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing materials. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and moving materials. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Carpenter within the construction industry. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by various tasks on-site. Knowledge across building trades is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. Strong communication and effective collaboration with team members and tenants. Strong social skills - friendly, courteous and respectful with all tenants and trades. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Strong skills in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
