Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to build, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in various carpentry techniques, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction projects. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities



Installs foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials. Fits and installs window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim using a carpenter's level, plumb bob, and laser levels Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools. Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue. Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace, using hand tools. Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures. Work with and train carpentry apprentices.

Qualifications



Highschool Diploma Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods including installation processes for roofs, siding, tiles, etc. Completion of carpentry program an asset. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Access to reliable transportation.

Pay: $34.00-$42.00 per hour
